Whether you're concerned for the people in Haiti or those in need closer to home, I would strongly encourage you to listen to the words of the prophet and help. Pretty simple really.
Thanks for who you are and what you do to make a difference in the world. Sure do love ya!

Underconstruction
So, you may have noticed that I'm trying to make some changes to the blog. Stay tuned.
Looking for a job...
Some of you may not be aware that my plans following graduation have changed a little. My ultimate goal remains the same (10 points for everyone who knows what my ultimate career aspiration is), but the way I will get there is a going to be a little different.
At the moment, I'm no longer planning to go to Law school. I know, don't be too shocked. I've decided that I'm going to get an MBA, which means I will have to work for a year or two before attending graduate school. Don't worry people. I am fully committed to getting a post-graduate degree; however, I'll just be getting it another way.
This also brings me to the dilemma I now find myself in. Job hunting. It's actually pretty fun. I'm looking at all my options. If you have any ideas, I'd be happy to send off my resume and application to where ever. Just be aware of their policies regarding international people--at this week's BYU Career Fair, some recruiters actually handed my resume back to me after they found out that they'd have to sponsor me to stay in the country. I nearly cried. Sort of.
Final thought: I remain resolute in the knowledge that, whatever I end up doing, it will be what I am supposed to be doing. It's really no coincidence that I am at BYU. I've loved every moment of it and would love to stay here in America. However, if by some small chance I will not be able to stay in the country after I work for the next year (I have one year left on my current visa and am presently not married to an American citizen...although I would like to be), then I will pull up my boots and return back to New Zealand. Don't get me wrong, I'm just throwing out all the possibilities that I am currently confronted with.

And I appreciate you...
You know, recently I have heard from all sorts of people that follow my blog and I have to make an admission...I love to hear that you are following my blog. I don't care if you think it's stalkerish--I honestly don't feel that way! If I didn't want people to look at my blog, then I wouldn't post the intimate details of my life on here. JK. I would just make it private, and I don't think that I'm going to do that anytime soon.
Love ya!

Mormon Notes: Prayer
So, I haven't had a whole lot of time to dedicate to my weekly notes. However, I hope that this will help.

Cleaning Checks
I'm very proud of our apartment right now. Today we had cleaning checks and, although I spent hours cleaning my areas, I actually enjoyed doing it. It's very liberating. Ha ha. One of the things that had to be cleaned out was the refrigerator. Looks pretty good right now actually. Anyway, if you are interested in coming over for a visit, now is the time! Otherwise, you'll have to suffer...or not come at all.
Also, I nearly died today on my way up to Sundance. I had to pick up tickets to a New Zealand movie featuring in the festival called, "Boy." Looks like it will be hilarious.

And they've begun...
So, the BYUSA elections are just around the corner. That's right. Today at 5pm, candidates for BYUSA president had to complete applications. Who can believe that this has started again? Not me. For the most part, I'm actually excited to see how this all plays out. No doubt, I will try to keep you posted...if not, you can find out more from the Daily Universe.

Visiting St. George
Well, for the past few days I've been relaxing with the Stevens in St. George, Utah. We've had an interesting few days and I have really enjoyed spending time with them. In many ways, the Stevens have been a huge part of my experience in America and I'm grateful for them.
One of the funny things about visiting St. George for the weekend is attending the Sun River Branch. Sun River is a community that only allows people over 55 years old to purchase property here. That means I get to attend a branch that is almost the exact opposite of my BYU Singles Ward. It's really interesting. And, I've been here often enough to have some of the people recognize me. However, one time I went to a ward activity with the Stevens here and someone asked if I was a missionary. Ha ha.

New Years...
Just as an update, I thought you should know that I had a great New Years Eve celebration in New Zealand. I spent a few days in the largest city in New Zealand, Auckland, at the National YSA Conference.
Before going to the conference, I visited my Grandmother in a little town called Murupara. As you can see in this photo, I went with my older brother Josh and little sister Jade. You'll also notice my Uncle in the background with the beanie on
Then, after being back in Upper Hutt for a few days, we headed up to Auckland via Hamilton (the home of the NZ Temple). Some of my mates and I were able to visit the Temple lights and the visitors center where I am recorded. It is hilarious by the way.
Anyway, after staying the night with my cousin and her family, we made our way onto Auckland and the conference. Then we partied like it was 1999, except it was actually 2009 (going on 2010). The conference was amazing and we all had some great experiences. Curtis Jacobs was the keynote speaker and he gave some really great insights.
So, that was an update on my New Years experience (except I missed a whole bunch of details...that's all).

My first ABC 4 News story!
Most of you know that I recently started an internship at ABC 4! Yesterday was my second day on the job and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I pitched a story in the morning (well, just asked a question about it) and was assigned to find out more about it. I made some very official sounding phone calls and this is what I found out. PLUS, I got to write the script for the ABC 4 News Anchor Robert Maxwell...all 25 seconds of it. Ha ha.

Wow.
I just noticed that I haven't posted on here since Christmas. To those of you that are still following this blog, thank you. Ha ha. However, now that I'm back in the States and sort of in a routine, I will try to update a little more regularly. I mean, I haven't blogged since last year--probably an indication of how busy I've been. Ha ha.
So, as I end this post, I just want ya'll to know that I'm alive and I love ya!
