Tonight, Heather and I went to go and see Toy Story 3 with some friends. I can honestly report that this is the best cartoon sequel (if not sequel in general) that I have ever seen.
At best, sequels have generally been comparable to the first--however, I think that this sequel blows the others out of the water (I know, pretty strong words for a movie).
Now, I don't speak highly of TS3 because, had I been alone, I would've cried like a baby during one of the final scenes. I speak highly of TS3 because I left the movie feeling a little bit better about life. In an industry that seems to be slowly lowering its standards, it's great to see a movie that paints a picture of how we should be when we grow up. TS3 also touched on new beginnings and change--something I think we are all familiar with.
Don't judge me if you don't like it. I like a lot of movies other people don't like. So, just enjoy it for what it could be. Or, just enjoy it for me.
