Lunch with the Jensen Family
Elder Jay Jensen came to speak at the BYU Devotional last Tuesday in the Marriott Center. He gave an amazing talk about our testimony and scripture study. Following his talk, we shook his hand and then as we were leaving, I got invited to have lunch with him, his family, and the President's Council. I found out that his grandson is serving in the Australia Adelaide Mission! And sat and spoke to his daughter-in-law and son, as well as Vice President Tanner and his wife, Susan Tanner, and Kay, secretary to the Advancement Vice President. We had a meal (a little bit too high class for my liking), and we also talked about life etc. I felt really blessed--but I didn't get an opportunity to tell ya'll about it.

How wonderful you got a chance to know him better. This year has been filled with great opportunities which will continue because people know you to be a genuine, caring kind-of-a-guy. A bit of advice...“Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.”
Hey! Sounds like you had a good time with Elder Jensen. I was in his ward in Ecuador for 2 years when I was 11-13 years old, so I got to know him well.
