Family : Isn't it about...time?
Soooo...on Monday, my Aunty and Uncle from New Zealand (Marama and Graeme) arrived in the District of Columbia. We caught up after work and they took me to dinner at an Indian Restaurant. We had a lot of good chats about NZ politics and extended family news. Too funny. The next day, I walked over to their hotel in the morning and was able to take them both on a tour of the Capitol. For those of you who wanted to know, they did mention that my accent was fading a little. However, I still have enough girls telling me I have a 'cute' accent to not really worry, yet.
Here we are in front of Senator Russell's statue. He is the man they named my Senate Office building after (I can't be bothered making that more gramatically correct).

so fun!! you've had alot of visitors lately...
How wonderful to have family travel so far to spend time with you! And loved the part about talking NZ politics. (Reminded me of a scripture from my NIV Bible, a little different than King James Version) found in Proverbs 18:17 that reads, "The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him." Politics can be so confusing...I am always glad to hear about those who look for spiritual guidance.
Don't lose the accent, Adam. It's your best asset ;)
Ha ha. Jk. But really...don't.
