Mission Companion Reunion

Quite often, I am reminded of mission stories and experiences I had while serving in Australia. Tonight, I had an awesome opportunity to spend a few minutes with one of my favorite companions, Elder Royce Tai. Even though we were in the UVRMC while Tai was meant to be visiting with his cousin who has a collapsed lung, we had a great catch up. I remembered all these funny moments and good times we had in Adelaide. Seriously brought back all these mission memories--which, I have to admit, I love to remember.

I'm  not even going to tell how long ago it was since I last saw Elder Tai; suffice to say, it's been ages. He was wearing a suit too, and it threw me off--I honestly felt like I was back on the mission again. One of the other reasons why Tai gets a mention on the blog is because he's from Malaysia. He speaks five languages and can DJ like no one else (apparently). Really awesome to see him again. He also graduates from BYU-Hawaii in April and is figuring out what to do (like me).

Oh, there is one major thing that is different, Elder Tai is married. His wife Sister (Melanie) Tai is really nice. It was good to finally meet her as well. Well done, sir, well done.

Uhm ... if it seems like I am not leaving as many comments these days it's because I feel pressured to leave a "smart remark" now oppposed to just a comment. You're asking for a lot, Ruri.

Buri... What an honor to have my name mentioned on your blog. I better make a screen shot capture as a back up copy huh...

Well, u know how I was supposed to go home on Friday? I didn't. Aunty Shirley wanted us to stay a few more days and we did. On Saturday Aunty Shirley and Uncle Dana took me and Mel out for lunch and we toured the temple square, conf center and etc. It was awesome!

Hey, meeting up with u was never something I thought would happen this soon. But I must say that it was O-Wesome to meet up and catch up. It fell right in place. Didn;t feel awkward or what. It's like we were comps yesterday.

Hope we meet again someday soon aye.. We're thinking of doing my OPT in the mainland and Utah is one of the options. We'll see we'll see.

Arohanui mate and see u around !
