Phew. They're Over...

Ok, I can relax for a minute or two now that my tests are over. Didn't do as well as I had hoped, but, they worked out well for the time being (it was only my first lot of mid-terms).

In the meantime, I went and purchased some Steak and Cheese pies from Mr. Mark Petersen. Can I just say that they were/are amazing?!! I tell everyone--all the time--that the one thing I miss from New Zealand is meat pies! If you had grown up eating something your whole life, would you miss it? I have. But now, I don't have to miss it anymore. Mark is selling them and I'm going to buy them....regularly.

Who wouldn't want to buy this? Mmmmmmmm.

Glad you found a friend who can supply you a taste of home! I checked and according to Wikipedia"...New Zealand meat pie is a hand-sized meat pie containing largely minced meat and gravy sometimes with onion and often consumed as a takeaway food snack. Andre Taber states that in 2004, business transactions for meat pies in New Zealand were worth NZ$120 million. The average cost of a meat pie was about NZ$2 this puts the sale of meat pies in New Zealand to be 60 million. As New Zealand has a population of 4 million this puts the average consumption per head to 15 per year. Andre Taber, The Great New Zealand Pie Guide: A Tasting Guide To Some of the Best Kiwi Pies Up and Down the Country, Renaissance Publishing, 2006, pg 7-8"
